Mars DNS Issue

We are currently experiencing some DNS issues on Mars which is our main Windows shared hosting server. The issue may result in some websites currently not resolving to our web servers which has been caused by a corrupt database table where the DNS zones are held. We are currently working on restoring this table from a backup and then we will import the records back to the DNS server to restore functionality. Another e-mail will be sent with the all clear once this work has been completed. We appologise for any inconvenience this may be causing but we assure you we are working quickly to restore service back to normal. If you have any questions or concerns please raise a support ticket in our client portal and one of our engineers will get back to you as soon as possible.

Best Regards,
Vooservers Support.

Update 20/09/2010 13:04:
The DNS issues on Mars have now been resolved and service should be back to normal. We have had to restore all of the DNS zones from a backup which took longer than initially expected due to the number of domains on our Windows web hosting cluster. All domains should complete propagation across our network within the next 15 minutes however if you still have any domains not working after this period please let us know and we will happily investigate the issue for you. If you have any custom DNS records such as external MX or A records we suggest logging in to Plesk to verify that those records have also restored correctly. Once again we appolise for any inconvenience this outage may have caused and we will be working on a long term solution to prevent this happening again. If you have any comments or queries please e-mail support@vooservers.com or create a ticket by logging into the client portal at https://secure.vooclients.com.

Best Regards,
Vooservers Support.
