Packet Loss - 20/04/2013 19:58 to 20:01

You may have noticed packet loss of around 60% to all services on our network between 19:58 and 20:01 this evening. This was caused by a large denial of service attack aimed at a server on our network which was able to saturate some of our upstream feeds. The attack was quickly mitigated by our network engineers and services were restored to normaal within 3 minutes. The server which caused the attack has also now been moved onto an isolated part of our network so that if further attacks are seen they will not affect other users.
