Inbound Denial of Service Attack - 14/11/2011 - 10:24 to 10:34

At 10:24AM this morning (14/11/11) our monitoring systems alerted us to around 20% packet loss on the core network which we quickly started to investigate. We managed to track this down to an inbound denial of service attack aimed at one of our client's servers. At this point we raised the issue with our upstream providers who were able to null route the IP being attacked and the network was restored to 0% packet loss at 10:34AM.
