We have today been working on improving our DNS resolvers for all VPS customers to improve the speed of resolutions on DNS queries and to offer better redundancy by splitting the resolvers on to different subnets and separate servers. To make use of the new DNS resolvers you will need to edit the /etc/resolv.conf file to show the following 2 lines:
nameserver 91.216.93.52
nameserver 194.0.252.231
The second line will be the same as one of the lines you already have however we have optimised this server to improve speeds and also offer more recursive clients for DNS lookups. The 91.216.93.52 IP is a new DNS server entirley dedicated to serving VPS customers so we recommend putting this IP first in your list as it will have less load. Once you have made the update to /etc/resolv.conf and saved the file they should instantly be active and you will not need to reboot your VPS.
If you have any problems or questions please create a support ticket by e-mailing support@vooservers.com or by logging in to the client portal at https://secure.vooclients.com and we will be more than happy to help.
Best Regards,
VooServers Support.
