MAI-R2-SW2 Distribution Switch Problems

We are currently experiencing issues with one of our gigabit distribution switches (MAI-R2-SW2) which is affecting connectivity to a handful of servers connected directly to it. We believe the switch may have failed and we are currently investigating further. We will update this announcement shortly once we have more information.

The onsite engineers have confirmed that the switch is functional however not passing traffic. As a last resort we have rebooted the switch which has restored connectivity to the servers affected. Initial investigations show the issue may be related to spanning tree protocol on the distribution switch incorrectly disabling the port. The issue has been logged with Cisco TAC and we will update this announcement should they advise any further service affecting maintenance be required.
